404 help

Post by steez »

I just traded in my mpc1k in for a new sp404 because I love the sound and effects it has..however i'm having trouble adjusting...is there any way around having only one effect for each pattern or sample? and how do I track out my patterns for mixing down? please help...1.

farout. . where'd you get that trade in? :?

you have to resample things wiht effects on them,

when u wanna record out the tracks, mute all the parts you dont want (set volume to zero), then go thru recording 1 at a time

Yea, resample the pad with the effect to keep the effect permanent. You can even do live tweaks while you resample. To me, the easiest way to track out yours beats is to use the isolator effect. Hold down remain and press the isolator effect button so that its assigned to every pad and then while holding remain go back and unselect the pads you want to record for each take. Saves alot of time this way :) Oh, and makes sure u kill all 3 bands of the isolator to mute the sounds. Peace !
