a simple effective audio interface? i want to use it with reaper, which im going to purchase...anything i should know before buying? im using it with a cdj and sp 606
any help is appreciated. m audio fast track caught my eye...

have you considered using 606's built in soundcard?
could be an option if you're on budget.
I had e-mu 0202 usb once, if you're looking for really simple solution ( no midi ins/outs ) I can recommend this emu - never had any problems.
I guess most of the "cheap but branded" intarfaces will do the job though.

from my 606 can i go straight in to reaper via usb? probably huh? jeez. duh

Problem with the 606 soundcard is that its output volume is kinda low. To fix that, you'll need to make use of the "mastering" button which can amplify the volume while tracking it into reaper (go into ur mastering setting to fine tune it to the way you want). Apparently, the 606 left al ot of breathing room for volume to make "mastering" a worthwhile function... i'm guessing.
