Heres a rar file of a beat tape I just made its really short and contains 5 beats and a SV Remix. Some of the beats will be on the forthcoming Soul Junkies LP 'Twilight Chorus' and some you may have heard on my myspace.
Download it and let me know what you think.

hey Shank, you definitely have a good ear for dope loops.
I already wrote it.
Blind beat is perfect to me, but I noticed that you try to keep your beats relatively clean. You don't like them being a little more dirty? Im just asking out of curiousity, I don't want to make you change your style or none of that.
however, check this yourself and see if you like it ( the second half), maybe it will make you buy some sp
Thanks for your comments elhuana much appreciated and the MP3 sounds good. I like the sound/effect it added to the drums but I think cos Ive heard the original so many times Im comfortable with the way it is. If I had a few pennioes spare I would def get a 404 cos they do bring that extra dirt some tracks need, Im afraid I dont so Ill just try and recreate it. I think thats the SPs main benefit the grit it can add to otherwise clean sources.
Teewok thanks for checkin it out with any luck Ill have a good MC over it and itll be even better.

last beat was my favorite, 'odd beat'... go figure... seemed to be the loosest of the bunch.
the first two were amelie flips, yeah? cool what you did with those...
all in all, solid creations. short and to the point. something i definitely strive to do, too... don't get me wrong, i can appreciate the hell out of people building a beat... but these 1-2 minutes jams... you tend to go back to them more often... and in the end, that's kind of what you want, i think.
respect on that.
Thanks fReEdoM I like odd too its a 3/4 beat hence the abrupted start. I agree with your ideas on the length of the beats and the way its put together, no hate but i find it a struggle to get thru more than 10 beats in a row (thats not a rule i live by i guess I get bored easily) thats why I did a short tape cos if Im not interested who else will be. I mean I enjoy a beat konducter/metal fingers tape but I skip thru them and playlist the best ones.
Thanks again to everyone whos commented I upped the same thread to another forum *coughs* MPC *cough* Forums and I got 18 views and no replies (Ive been using that site for years and always gave feedback to members alittle receprecation wouldve been nice) so thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.

Roll Thru -- Kicks are hitting hard as a motha. Sick Bell chops. Its a laid back type of joint, but it goes type hard. Love the transition into beat 2...
Lee Beat -- Sounds a tat bit similar to the last one, but not to much. This one here is ill. The effect you got on the sample is killing it.
Show Beat -- Not a giant fan of the sharp hi hat, but they work. Great sitars on this. Drums are hype!!
Blind Beat -- Off the top... The sample is crazy... Not sure about your choice of snare here. Evey thing else bangs, especially the kicks, The way you let it ride at 40 seconds was dope. The the vocal cuts at 57 seconds came in dope, then faded back out to the beat. Nice track.
Slum Village -- Nice little addition to the tape!!! This beat right here is live... great drum and sample work. Great job with the accapella. The chops at the middle of the track killed it. LOL @ the lyrics...
Odd Beat -- More slamming kicks. The piano chops worked great.
This is how a beat tape is suppose to flow... nice and short. Your mixing is great man. Good job on that. YOur kicks were smacking the shit out of my monitor speakers ahahaha.
Thanks for the in depth critique 12welve I agree with all your comments the snare on blind is def its weakest point I have tried other snares but couldnt find the perfect one so Ill prob just leave I may switch up if an MC picks it tho.
Someone else mentioned the samples on roll thru and lee were taken from Amelie that may be were the similarity begins I made them around the same time so the drums are more than likely the same original hits Ive just filtered them differently (I tend to use the same drum sounds/program if there a new addition to my banks).
Thanks Younghoon Both roll thru and lee are on the 'Twilight Chorus LP' and will be up here soon with dope vocals by Fingerprince/Demi soon.
Peace

Honest feedback, I couldn't listen beacause this is a rar. and I use a mac. You should really use www.bandcamp.com . Makes it so much easier to preview the tracks and download, plus it's nice on the eyes and doesn't have wait times and a million ads. I will most likely download some un-rarer thing to peep this, but with out listening I bet you would be doing it more justice with bandcamp..
