MIDI controlling- playing samples from TD3 pads

Hi, I got this problem:
I would like to play samples from SP- 404 from drum module Roland TD3 by pad hiting. SP 404 seems to have no reaction via midi.
Whed I try to change note settings in TD3, nothing happens.
Drum module manual says: "The TD-3´s transmit and receive channel is fixed at "10." Could it be a problem? When I try to connect midi controller keyboard, playing samples hitting keys works fine. Any ideas?

I figured it out. Since TD3 transmits MIDI at channel 10. I have to setup same channel on SP-404 (by pressing on and holding pad 10). Great forum anyway. Thanks

I *assume* the 404 is like the 404SX -- you can only trigger half of the pads on the base channel (10 in this case). The remaining pads are triggered on base channel + 1 (11 in this case).

You mean the remaining pads of a padbank of do you mean only the first 6 pads can be triggered with the base channel, the other 6 with base channel + 1 ? I haven't dug into the midi capabilities of my SP-404 yet, but this sounds awkward to me.
