Post by Dj_just_jeff »

I finally started looking into the mc-303 and made a vid of how to program the hard headed thing.

nice...
I have this little issue though...alright:
midikeyboard goes to the 1k from there to the mc303. Fine.

Now when I press all stop on the mpc, the mc303 changes the TONE. Means it switches from 't01-12' to X0X-XX... pretty random, that's how I feel... any ideas? Which midi message could it be? It's all cool if the sequences are programmed/recorded to the 303's sequencer...

All in all it's a real cool machine. Pretty happy I kept it against all odds.

Is there stuff like a midi patch bay? How could I play more midi instruments with one output only? (second mpc outout is for syncing the sp) Does those midi splitters really work without any issues? Thanx

Sounds like the midi channels are not set correctly. Im not to smart when it comes to midi but i am getting better. Look at this midi vid i did and let me know if it helped. http://www.youtube.com/user/drjackoholl ... HXm1HI4xPc

there are 16 midi channels and different things (keyboards etc..) can control different parameters on other pieces of kit, like notes, fx, things like that.
hope this helps. Midi is frustrating sometimes, at least for me it is.
