patchs erased?

Post by shmedy »

hey i turned on my MV and no sound was coming out when i played my patterns. i tracked it down to all of the patches were empty. i had previously saved samples to the patches and i definatley saved because i had turned the unit off multiple times while working on this project. so has anyone had this happen or is there something im missing here? Let me know, thanks.

:o The only rare case where I ever had patches erased was when connecting the USB cable to my PC when WinAMP or Windows Media Player was running. Those two DON'T mix well, turn off all auto-synchronizing of Windows Media Player and such because it'll ruin things for sure.

As for patch erases, I think you may have shut down without saving properly. Did you erase any samples manually to clean up? Certain samples will be linked because they're assigned non-destructively, but still use the same sample.

Check out manual page M-101 for some more info.

I've worked on a song and left my mv on for 2 days or so, forgot to save it and turned it off. Cant you go to your song, load it, then look at the patches you used, is it possible that the patches are loaded just not assigned.
