SP404 midi trigger question...help!

Post by kylereese »

hi...im a drummer looking for a sampler to trigger via midi with a single drum pad from my v-drums....im just wondering if its possible to have samples on the 404 that i can start playing by hitting the drum pad once and stop by hitting again...then change sample manually between songs live.....

i dont use clicks so it would be a live on the fly thing....

any advice would be appreciated as id love the get a 404 if it can do this....

thanks, kyle :)

the 404 needs different midi messages to start and stop a sample pad from playing- so unless your drum has some sort of midi message toggle feature (never heard of such a thing) then you would have to use 2 different triggers for start and stop- like maybe one of those small rubber bar shaped ones.
