BPM looper

Post by kel »

I'm wondering... does anybody use this mfx a lot (i've never used it) ? I've read once or twice here that it is valuable and a feature take into consideration when choosing between a 404 and another sp that doesn't have it. i know it makes a stuttering effect for whichever portion of your sample you program it to.... vinyl sim works as a great compressor even tho it's designed to simulate vinyl crackles, lo-fi mfx14 makes a good filter etc........ can someone tell me what else bpm looper is capable of?

you might already know this, idk, but you can make it to make that errerererereslssssswowow harsh swooshy sound which is really cool if you resample yourself doing that and using it as an effect.

Noobs.
This can be done using the tape echo effect on a 303, but no one listens to my music enough to notice that.

@ellaguru, i wish i could pick up another sp right now, but i just meant that i'd read before here that it was a valuable effect, one that might be important enough to hinge a decision between buying one sp or another. trenchant, i think i know the sound you're describing... gonna try that out, thanks! i never use tape echo either but maybe i should peep what the scanner is looking at

Try it, it's fun. But it does get ugly fast until you know how each knob modifies the sample.
