Nothing special
I threw a couple joints up if you feel like a listen. Sorry bout the quality on the Power Of Drums track, not meant to be used but never the less it remains one of my favorite songs I've made because I had so much fun with it, the samples where just in the 303 and were actually used for separate beats and if you listen at the end you can here where the sampler is acting funny so I turn off the sequencer and have to do the drums live to finish the recording.
Good times

The lo-fi sound was just a product of using my tape recorder, sometimes I don't like to track on my computer, and yes for some reason it sounded like my 303 was dying when that happen it scarred the shit out of me, maybe I had too much happening at one time or something.blast1 wrote:power of drums is real cool, very lo-fi, lots of distortion(was that intended?)nice sample... the track grooves... the part were the sequencer acts funny sounded like it was intented, it had an off beat effect to it...

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments. Yeah 606man, I like the analog sound as well, all the music I've ever admired from 60/70's rock and Jazz to my favorite Hip Hop artists have all mastered that warm analog feeling. I feel like too many people struggle to make the cleanest perfectly finished songs in Pro Tools and they lose sight of the beauty of imperfections such as a drummer who is off beat on a couple hits but still holds the rhythm and feeling of the groove.
