Kaoss pad 1

anyone have experience with this one? i found it at the same price of the mini kaoss pad, but the kp1 can be used as external fx (send/return thing) as kp2 and kp3.
so what i'm searching for is , above all, some fx similar to the 2 looper fx in the sp-404.
i read the very small kp1 manual and i saw some "sample/play fx"...maybe are those similar to the ones in the 404?
other question: is the touch panel useful as the one of the kp2 or is more limited?

I would assume it's much more limited, but for the price of a mini-kaoss pad I don't think you could go wrong buying one.

Then again I don't really think it will be quite the same as the DJ FX looper on the SP-404 (it's one FX I miss on my MV too by the way). I might buy an SP-404 eventually because of that.

but like i said in the other kaoss thread , i don't want to buy the mini kp because it isn't useful as external fx (send/return) as kp1 kp2 and kp3 does...
for the sp-404 looper fx: i think that kp2, kp3 and even mini kp got something similar...

what i'm searching is that fx that make you divide a loop in 8 portions and then let you chose what portion to make repeat. a chop/repeat, a looper-like-404 fx...

i think, looking at kp1 manual, that this fx i'm searching - the bpm looper fx, as saw in the youtube video - it isn't part of the kp1...
so my research apparently ends here...
i have to look at kp2 or 3...

The Kaoss Pad 3 certainly does have a bpm looper FX like the DJ style FX on the sp-404, but it also colors the sound. You'll know you're using a Kaoss Pad 3... the SP-404 FX has that a lot lot less (no coloration).

Good luck finding the right type of gear though! I think both the KP2 and KP3 could be good for you.

i finally bought a kaoss pad 2 for 100€.
do you know if i can play its inner synth with a midi synth? no mention in the short manual.
