Best techniques for muting drums

I got a dope sample that I would like to lay down my own drums. There's a high hat that i cant seem to filter out, any tricks anyone could provide would be dope. Im on the 555. I tried filtering through the d-beam which worked ok but I need something more consistent since my hand moves from too much coffee. ...

I wanna know this, too.
You know, if you're lucky, and if the sampled track was recorded in stereo, you can try taking out the left or the right RCA jack out, and record in mono, because the drums might only be on one side.
But if there's a better way, for the 404, then I'd like to know.

you cant magically get rid of a sound thats already recorded...center cancellation and filtering is your best bet
