Looking for the name of a song / artist , please help!

Hi there,

I was just watching one episode of Numb3rs here, the one with a serial killer that's on death row, but innocent because his son (julien curtis) did it (a guy with a huge knife scar on his shoulder).

Now, whilst the detectives are looking into the serial killer (a guy named Curtis, mob boss) stuff, there's a basketball game going on and while the main characters have issues coaching that team, there's a very cool hiphop kind of song playing. (In the end there's two of the Lakers professional basketball players helping the team out, might give an idea which episode it is).

Something with 'born in the USA' as lyrics in the refrain, very funky and jumpy, a bit like the old school hiphop of DJ Cool and the likes, but I can't figure out which artists it's from. It's probably a modern day artist or something.

Anyone got any ideas?

i remember the "born in the u.s.a." by bruce springsteen sampled by 2 Live Crew that has become "banned in the u.s.a.", end of '80.
maybe is that?

Thanks a lot, yes that does seem to be the song. But I just listened to the YouTube version from 1990 and that wasn't the one. I think it must have been a remix of that song, are there any?

Anyways, thanks a lot, yes it seems to be 'Banned in the usa'.
