Adagio per 404

Post by eyecam »

Here's an alternative way of using an sp 404: I loaded it with two octaves of piano and strings and wrote a piece entirely on this machine, played by the pads.
It's an adagio, kinda film music, minimal stuff like Philip Glass. Just a way to show that this machine is much more than it looks.

Hope you enjoy it :)

good track! nice sounds.

@COMPUTERS
the pitch function of the 404 it's exactly the same of the one of 303/606: it works for some particular situations, but for other it's better to look elsewhere...

Actually i didn't use the pitch at all, I just loaded the synth sounds and started playing.

But here's sth great for synth sounds:
Load an extremely short sample in a pad and use the loop function. It'll transform into a synth sound which you can manipulate using the pitch mode/resample. What's so great about it is that, unlike "normal"-length sounds, pitch function cannot distort the sample (as it usually does in the sp's) at all because it's too short!

Anyway, thanx for the feedback folks :)
