Pitch on the 404 vs the 303

Hi everybody.

We all know that the pitch-function on the 404 sucks big time!

Today I found this video on youtube where Nick tha 1da shows how he makes a Beat on the 303

Check the pitch @ 1:02 ....WTF? It sound perfect to me. So is the 404 the only Sampler in the world where the pitch doesn´t work or am I missing something? I thought the 303 can´t pitch as well...

Nah the 303s pitch is the same.....theres some trickery going on in that video......he must have used something else to pitch shift and not shown it for the purpose of the video.....
I think there was a post somewhere about it...

yeah man, 303 doesn't really do it any differently, might even be a little sloppier

look carefully he hits a different pad for the repitched sound...it's just a different sample loaded into the 303, not a sample repitched by the 303

I watched the video again and if you watch closey.he hits pad 6 with the sample then he does the pitch but then hits pad7!hmmm im thinkin he pitched it down in the computer or some other joint and then just put it on another pad!cuz if you listen carefully the sample is way slower then the origanal and when you use the pitch efx the bpm is usally the same tempo!

Yeah, obviously he hit another pad...I mean, it´s ok to pitch sounds on other devices but since he explicitly said that he will "now use the "Pitch" on the 303 he is definitely cheating... But his Beats are dope so it´s ok...
