importing question

I didn't see this already asked and I couldn't find the answer in the manual (although it is very possible I could have overlooked on both)

when I am uploading samples onto my 404 just half of the samples will upload and instead of doing the rest it will just repeat the same samples and mix them up in different banks. why is it doing this/how do I get all the samples on there?
