i found out today that you can get some cool compression effects with the vinyl sim on middle to higher frequency samples by stomping on the floor along with where you would place your kick drums in the loop (if you're sampling from vinyl).

with vinyl compressor at full blast, and (if you're using a mixer) lows dropped out of the source(otherwise you'll get a low rumble) , the sound drops out, then rises again when you stomp. it's a little slow to recover so it may work better on slower tempo stuff, but you just throw in a kickdrum over the dropped out part it can sound cool sometimes.

thats crazy! haha. your probably just shaking the record player though right? if i understand whats going on.
a side trick that ive noticed but never recorded is if you have the plate spinning and your holding the record still, tap on the record opposite side from the needle and its like a crazy bassed out kick

you can also make super phat kicks by tapping a decent microphone.
