Card question

Post by carbono »

Hey, what's good? I got a question about the sm/xd card, I've searched the forum and couldn't find the answer it!

I understand that, getting a card with more storage capacity gives us more sampling time, but do the number of sample banks stay the same? Like, having a 16 mb or a 128 mb, the only thing that changes is the sampling time?

I'd like to know that, because I sample almost everything on long mode, so sampling time is not my problem. That way, if what I said above is correct, it's best to buy two 16 Mb card instead of one of 128, no?

Cheers

yeah, you got it - the # of banks is the same no matter what size card.
get a card that's big enough to handle the length of the samples you tend to use. . after that, get more cards rather than bigger ones!
Samples.
