Help with EXT SOURCE...

When i play pattern and i want to have ext source on, that button few seconds after i turn it on, turn itself off, and after few sec turn on, etc. I dont know what can i do, :arrow: is it normal?

no, that's not normal.

do you have MIDI connected? there's a note which sends a MIDI CC message that activates and deactivates the EXT Source button, perhaps it's being triggered somewhere along the MIDI chain?

if there's no MIDI connected then i am not sure why the button is toggling like that...

yeah that does happen. the external source button is like a pad- it goes on and off if you pressed it while the sequence is recording. to correct this go to record a sequence- hold down delete while holding down the external source button.

Wow I never knew you could sequence the ext source button, must have missed that part in the manual. Thanks for the info.

yeah, i dont think its even in the manual. shit had me pissed trying to figure out why the ext button keep goin on and off.

to juxt: hey, thanx men. its true, when i delete ext source pad from pattern, that pad dont turn on and off. Really thanx, it helps me so much cause i perform scratches to the beat and i need to hear ext source all the time. :wink:

The Ext button is mentioned in the midi note list toward the back of the manual. It had me pulling hair when I was trying to work out which midi note did what - though I'd found a bug!
