sp 303 squence question

Post by Kei Kurono »

I had a question im not sure of I just want to clear things up. when you hear speach samples and a loop or squence are they done with just the pads going over the sequence playing live or are they recorded into the sequence ? same question for the turntable scratching ?

idk it you under stand my question but as an example on j dilla's donuts the song "anti amercan graffiti". the song has samples of a guy talking thru the whole song.

some of that stuff is done with a tracker, like a 4 track- 99track, whatever. you know what i mean? You can record stuff and play the recording and add to it, like you could be a one man band and produce a full record.

I sequence my accapellas on the 404, it just sounds nicer like that IMO.
