deleting the factory sounds?

Hey I just discovered the forum and am now inspired to take the sp 404 out of hiding and into the practice room.
I was wondering how do you delete the factory sounds? Anytime Ive tried it tells me that its protected, plus the manual doesn't talk about deleting the factory sounds.

yes, but the manual does tell you how to turn off Protection :wink:

Hold down cancel and then turn the power on.

thanx now i can rid my self of that stupid stock ass hip hop yeah sample or at least tear it apart with some re-sampling
