How to make pads cancel other pads out..

...when sequencing.


Just use up the polyphony (6 stereo/12 mono)...but leave a voice free.

and if you only want to use one voice in the sequence, but still have the pads play like a monophonic keyboard and cancel eachother out:

1. Go to the pattern sequencer, and set the quantize to 4 notes.
2. record 5 stereo samples on each beat in every bar.
3. record the sequence you wanted to make with the remaining voice.
4. then mute the other samples you dont wanna use(using the isolator, looper or any other silencing effect, or you could even delete those pads, or use silent samples to begin with etc...)


Theres probably a really obvious way around this, but this is the way ive been doing it...
