Here is what I am trying to do for a live performance:
SP404 runs beats/samples. We bring a PA with us to shows and set it in the backline along with the rest of our amps. I use the outputs on the 404 to go to the inputs of the mixer that powers our PA. No problem
I also want to give the outputs to the soundman for use through the venue's PA. What is the best way to do this?
The solutions I've thought of are the following:
Use the heaphone out to send to the stage PA and the main outs to go to the venue's PA.
Use the regular outputs to our stage PA, and then use the "line level mixer out" on our stage PA's mixer to send two 1/4 inch cables to the venue.
Which is the better solution soundwise? Are there drawbacks to using the headphone out?
Thanks!
HELP! Best way to use 404 with 2 PA's

why not just run everything straight to the board, then have yr sound guy send back a mix thru the monitors?
or, are you working without monitors?
