trouble naming files to upload

okay. so in my little sp 303 manual it says when uploading files you have to name them smpl0001.wav-smpl0008.wav

does this mean i have to go back to my computer, switch the files out and then load the next 8 samples for bank b?

or can i have sixteen samples on my sm card and load bank a, then bank b

also, how do i name the files on the card when i want to use them with banks c and d?
