I have this really annoying problem:
When I try to ext seq sample a pattern from kinetic 2 onto my 606 (Which is really a key feature to me!), the 606's display says: "USB offline!" I can still hear everything, but nothing gets recorded.
Maybe the usb on my old asus P4B533 motherboard is at fault, and i'm going to get an upgrade when i can, but.. this should work! I've re-installed the drivers several times, no luck.
This really pisses me off. On paper, I have this really neat setup with audio going back and forth between my pc and 606. But right now the 606 is little more than a control surface and standalone sampler.
By the way, it says "USB Offline!" whether i'm trying to ext seq sample or not. Just pressing play seems to cause the error.
Edit: I just figured it out, I set Kinetic's MIDI output to -None-
And now it works! I thought i needed it to output MIDI sync, but no!
What a frustratingly simple solution.. I have been trying all sorts of things to get it working for weeks.. :S
