pass the bottlenose...

Post by iG9 »

well i got my first joint up so y'all be gentle. the beat is a loop, the guitar is totally chopped and reassembled. i like it. i have a couple minor quibbles but i didn't want to do it again. all played live on the 404, no multi-tracking or studio magic. i fixed a millisecond timing thing and normalized one bit but that's it. recorded into audacity.

anyway let me know what's up. holla! =)

Great beat... simple and different than you expect here. However, I hated the soundbites...too loud and don't fit with the mood of the track. That said, still good and it's not like any of our music here is perfect...it's all fun.

The beat was very nice IMO but I have to go with Js on the samples, they did not match. Keep up the good work.

i'm really feeling the guitar. gives the beat a really nice vibe. also good to hear some laid back drums. the effects you put on the vocal samples would probably be better used on something with a more "electronic" vibe. that said, i can completely empathise with being nice and stoned, a new 404 in front of you and Futurama on the television so this track is a good time capsule of some of your first 404 sessions

let us know when you've got new shit to hear

thats the thing.. i think the small mistakes people leave in gives it more character, it makes everything a little bit more interesting.. at least to me, i really dig that kind of stuff. and yes, to me, it does make it a more fun listening pleasure. with that said, i need to finally stop being a bitch and pick up a SP.
