WAS THE "FLYING LOTUS" TECHNIQUE OF PATTERN COPYING DISCOVERED BY THE PRODUCER "FLYING LOTUS" ? COS´HE'S A 404 GUY...

THE ONE THAT RELEASED AN ALBÚM CALLED "LOS ANGELS" THIS SUMMER?


JUST CURIOUS.

I READ THAT THIS FLYING LOTUS GUY IS A 404 USER, SO THAT'S HOW I GOT CURIOUS...

The pattern copy trick is actually well described in the manual of the 404 and 303. I think flying lotus brought it to most peoples attention, but who knows since flying lotus used to work at Stonesthrow madlib could have put him on to it.

MY QUETION IS.. DID HE INVENT THE TECHNIQUE AND DUDES START CALLING IT F.L. TECHNIQUE 'COS HE INVENT IT OR IS IT SOME COINCIDENCE???

HE TAKES NO SHIT FROM ME WHEN I TRY TO DO TRICKS WITH HIM.... HE'S JUST STUBURN. I'VE TRIED ALL THE TECHNICHES AND NOTHING. NO PATTERNS COPIED AND BANK A FULL OF FACTORY SAMPLE CRAP...

As far as i know FL doesnt visit the site. I'm not exactly sure where that trick originated, but I remember first hearing about it thru pt3r in that link

I also first heard of this from p3tr's post too, as far as I know Flying Lotus doesn't post here but he could be in stealth mode as any user on here.

you gotta unlock Bank A so you can delete those factory sounds and start backing up your patterns to it

only thing i can't figure out is how to do a flying lotus and i have the manual right beside me .

when you say:
4. Move all the samples and patterns you want to copy, to pads on the external memory (Banks C-J) (manual pg. 28 and pg.37)
does that mean resample it? sorry, i don't have my manual right now.

No there I just refer to exchanging samples between pads.
