Yes yes we know midi control is "a bitch"....ive never tried but im lookin in2 a interface so i can play/record beats realtime via Cubase etc. type hardware.....any suggestions? any tutorials? please inform.

It depends on what you want to do.

I have a 25-key midi controller for melodies (which can be used to trigger anything via midi) - M-Audio Oxygen 8, cheap as chips on eBay and quite easy to setup in a DAW (Reason especially, it practically set itself up for me).

However, this isn't so nice to make beats with, which is why I'm picking up a Korg padKontrol next month. Check out the videos for it on YouTube, and I'm sure plenty of people here will vouch for it's usefulness. :D

well on the real all i wanna do is get my beats off my 505, however but do i need a midi controller 2 do so....or jus a midi interface & play em out???

anybodis help appreciated.

cheapest thing for midi out (that's the only thing you need as far you got a soundcard) is an usb/midi interface like the "midi sport uno"
it has midi in and midi out...
