SP 404/MPC Users

Its been forever since i've touched my sp, but im wondering something. The sp's quantize sounds a little stiff to me and I usually quantize in 16/3. FOr all u MPC users, is the quantize any diff on an mpc? I see people making loops on youtube with the mpc and it seems to me ( I could be crazy) that the kicks sound more real and they still are quantizing them....sooo are the quantize pretty much the same or whats up?

If I remember correctly, the MPC has 1/32 quantize + triplets. So the Kick can land in more "natural" spots than the sp.

Do you have an MPC....I have one just for you if you don't!!! :lol:

if you quantize 16/3 on the 404 and the MPC its gonna sound pretty much the same as long as u play it the same. The MPC has more quantizing options like 32/3 and I think maybe even 64 ? and adjustable swing on 4/8/16/32.
