so i got my sp555 a week ago and ims till tryna master it.i had my
first hint on production from tha 404 but didnt know where to start
so sold it and got the mc808 and tried to learn from there.but now
im ready for tha sp.yeeee!! this forum keeps me busy on my graveyard
shift and full of helpful tips and wickid producers..nuff rants
i got my loop and chopped it up
but it took me an hour just gettin it how i wanted it
realized my high came down..so i peeped this site thus doin this.
but imma smoke my last bowl..hopefully come up with
somethin decent..yiyi!! pugpugpak pugpakpugpug! :lol:

I found it hard to get shit chopped or looped the way I wanted at first but after a while it becomes second nature. It's easier to get a loop going if it has a identifiable rhythm to it like a steady hi-hat pattern or consistent breakbeat.

i'm new here too. i've had a 303 for a few years and my friend gave me his 404 about a year ago. i've mainly used them for noise shit and jamming -- drums, loops, fx. i've been fucking around with making some beats recently, inspired by some of the shit i've heard you guys do here. the production techniques part of the board has been a great help.
