Supasamplaswappa: ooh man!! Absolutely LOVING this beat! Great atmosphere, sparse instrumentation! Dark but also uplifting! Very evocative of late night driving through city lights after all the clubs are closing and there’s tension in the air!

TGN: another one with great atmosphere! Such a similar vibe to supasamplaswappa but still has its own style! These 2 would work great on the same album!

Isihambi: another great entry! This one has a more ‘traditional’ beat vibe! Thought it was great how you show it played ‘live’ and nice chops!!

Really tough decision but going with SupaSamplaSwappa!

I love my trusty Sony MDR V700 but they pronounce the basses too much, to be good headphones for producing.

If you're on a budget and can deal morally with buying Chinese rip-off shit, Superlux make pretty close copies of all the classic studio headphones which compare favourably with the real deals, apparently.

If not, summat like the two classics, Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro or Sony MDR-7506, maybe?

I got the DT 770 Pro and the DT 990 Pro. I prefer the 990 because they open and are more comfortable, but the 770 are good too.

hey, went for supersampleswappa, moody but smooth at the same time, really enjoyed it, could 100% hear someone like Boldy James on this beat. rlly nice beat
