Re: SPBB 330 POLL
while it was difficult for me to judge due to the very vast choice of sampling of the original sources, i will go with selga: it sounds good calm big at same time, very cool use of fx too.
no orders
special mention: zindan (maybe with a bass more...who knows...? btw nice atmosphere/fx and jeru great choice)
special mention2: loopmantra (man, this could have been a big contender to my ears, nice sounding track+general vibing atmosphere)
special mention3: TGN (nice dark track, and a top bass)

Re: SPBB 330 POLL
Yo thanks for the kind words fam
Tbh, I already used this album several times before (not these samples in particular, but still), so it felt kinda unfair, I dunno..
Nevermind though, as long as you dig the track, that's good enough for me
Thanks for giving it a listen!
Gonna cast my vote later on, when I find the time to listen to the tracks properly
Peace!

Re: SPBB 330 POLL
Tough call but Asha wins for me.
Snare in particular hit perfectly, tasty beat, lots of restraint and thoughtful use of samples to give the piece some movement. Basically the polar opposite to mine, which just involved slapping obnoxious synth over some very simple chops and calling it a day. I admire in others what I do not do myself...
Also dug the burroughs VO and thought it well-suited to the piece.
Ryba a very close second for a lot of the reasons I liked Asha's but Asha's drum production sealed it.
But if we were competing for Surprisingly Tasteful Use of Pornographic Samples then the victory would, of course, go to M. Noire.

Re: SPBB 330 POLL
This vote came down to Probotector and Asha C for me personally ..really difficult to separate these two but in the end Asha just nudged it .
Nice stuff all round though folks from all involved ..cool battle.
Edit ..just realised the damn poll ended yesterday so I couldn't actually submit my vote .. apologies @Asha C.

I am a little late, too.
Great contributions Fam - i can not really decide, which one is best this time. And i passed the opportunity to vote for myself.

Shall we both post a sample and a break maybe?

Yes, this is fair. Let's talk via PM about the rules.asha c wrote:Shall we both post a sample and a break maybe?

lmao how is this fair if you only received one vote (and one illegitimate vote for yourself) and asha c actually won
