sp-303 sequencing HELP!

Post by euanobm »

Hope this is the right section of the site.

My recently purchased 303 has been acting very oddly.
Banks a and b refuse to record patterns with the sequencer. I follow the manual instructions: press ptn select, then rec, (number pads light up), i press a pad, i adjust metronome length and quantize, i press rec again, it counts me in, i press the pads..............BUT NOTHING ENDS UP BE RECORDED. The pads make sounds when i press them but the sequencer doesn't record it.

To make things even stranger, i can use the sequencer perfectly in banks c and d. I can sequence samples from a and b in c and d. ???

I've read the q and a bit on pressing 'cancel and remain' but still a and b won't sequence.

I'm a sad panda. HELP

Post in the 303 section next time since this section is about updating or maintaining the site. I would try downloading the OS for the 303 from Roland and then use that to reinstall a fresh copy of the OS using a card reader. See if that does anything.

Hi,

Welcome to the forums. I've moved your topic to the appropriate section (SP-303 Tips 'n Tricks) where you should get more replies.

I don't know much about the SP-303 but if you haven't already I suggest checking this topic and the owner's manual.

If that doesn't help you I'm sure someone else can.

What Euclid said. You gotta basically re-install the OS and it should work fine.
