i've been listening to walter warm nearly since i joined soundcloud in 2012 lol his beats are dope but they're pretty run of the mill
they sound great though; i still have a couple of them in my favorite private soundcloud playlists!!

personally, my single greatest inspiration on soundcloud is a lanky, long-haired white kid from NYC that was formerly on dirty tapes. (dirty tapes turned into shit man, reminds me of something said in another thread recently about how all grassroots shit eventually gets appropriated and exploited) the first time i heard one of his tapes back in 2014, it changed my fucking life. i asked him what hardware he used, and he told me SP404
i bought one like a month later

and by dirty tapes turned into shit, i mean the guy that runs it just uses people. originally they had a solid team of several dudes with some of the sickest music i had ever heard, but now they just post anything and sell anything as long as it gets plays. some of the shit is still really dope though; i highly recommend checking it out!

i mean, i did the same thing. the oldest song i have on soundcloud is from five years ago, but the first song i posted on soundcloud was 8 or 9 years ago. i deleted nearly every single track on my page at one point and made the rest private, changed my url, changed the name a couple years ago

i regretted that shit forever, still do, almost killed myself, because my old computer shitted the bed and i lost everything

i was going to kill myself that night until i found a hard drive that had my "most important" 25 beats on it

The first time I heard of him, I was not into beatmaking as much, my vision was that of a rappers, and his beats are for "listening pleasure only". That means you cant rap over his beats. Knowing this he went on the list of less than worthy producers. However over the years, I have found that he makes good beats. Cozy beats.
