OG404 made a loud “POP” sound from inside the box

I was playing my 404 for awhile today (maybe an hour or so), and it all of a sudden made this really loud pop that everyone in my house was able to hear. Music kept playing but I quickly unplugged it Incase a fire started. I’ve had a similar thing happen with guitar pedals.

After some inspecting I don’t notice any smell of electrical fire, no smoke, nothing. Any one had this happen? I’m going to open her up soon to check it out.

I just bought an OG 404 that wont power on. I pulled it apart and the ram chip is literally burnt! I'd take yours apart to make sure none of the chips are fried. Does it still work?
