Korg Sampling Digital Delay-2000

Anyone here have experience with these? I remembered I had it stashed away and just now put together that it actually functions as a sampler not just a delay. I think sample time is 1 second or 4 seconds so not much to work with! Anywho, trying to figure out the sampling function and the manual seems to contradict itself!
