How to hook up a Roland JP 08 to my Sp404
Just copped a Roland JP-08 was wondering if it’s possible to hook it up to my SP404

If I were going to use it with a 404, I’d get 2 midi cables, a 3.5 inch to dual RCA cable, and a 37-81 key midi controller. (Because the one you can hook it into the JP08 is a joke if you ask me)
First, midi out your controller into the JP-08 midi in. Midi out of the JP to the SP. Then, get the 3.5 output to the audio in of the SP. If you don’t have these cables, just go to any Guitar Center or order them off of amazon. If you don’t have a midi controller, and you don’t want to buy one, you would only need 1 midi cable going from the JP to the SP. I don’t know if it will trigger the pads though.
