recording mics into laptop

Post by THEGREAT »

is it more fluid than a signal having to run through the latencey of external usb soundcard?

.. using the line in on the laptop along side a beat.. in cubase for example?

my setup runs a mic through a filter and digital portable recorder(which can be used as a soundcard .. but can't get the driver to work)

anybody noticed reduced quality using this method .. or nah?

You are going to need a preamp or mixer in between the mic and soundcard.

I picked up a Behringer USB UM2 for $30 new and it’s great for what you pay for with built in pre amp and 48V if needed.
