i think nas has made countless "enjoyable" songs since illmatic-"doo rags","one mic","if i ruled the world","you're the man","second childhood"and numerous other premeir produced joints throughout the years are just a few of them..i've just always been let down by the overall beat choices he's made over the years.sallam remi is his people, but just not that dope at all,and he always handles the bulk of the production.i've never understood why with all the money he has he's yet to make another album with a group of super producers..he should be like, let me get preem, pete rock,hi tek,9th wonder, large pro,etc...all on one album. maybe someday

i'm really enjoying the new Nas album. Nas is one of my favourite emcees so maybe i'm biased, but I really think he brought it with this new album. I wasn't really feeling HHID, and Street's Disciple should've been one disc instead of two....
this new one reminds me of Ice Cube's Death Certificate...similar feel, espeically with the brief songs themed on different issues
Sly Fox is great

definitely Wax *raises fist*
although the chorus to Hero is a little cheesy with the female vocal, you gotta love Nas' flow on that beat. the third verse is great:
"Forgetting - Nas the only true rebel since the beginning
Still in musical prison, in jail for the flow
Try telling Bob Dylan, Bruce, or Billy Joel
They can't sing what's in their soul...
So 'Untitled' it is
I never change nothin'
But people remember this
If Nas can't say it, think about these talented kids
With new ideas being told what they can and can't spit"

I've only heard the leaked tracks so far (definitely coppin it tho!)... but I really like em. and I would tend to say that I dig the fuck out of nas' beat selection. if he was on all the top producers beats his shit would sound like an album of singles... like some Jay-Z shit. nas has always been on some lyrical shit first... beats second.

Word most of them hooks on the lp are way to r&b for me...
now that I listened to the whole lp I've to say that sly fox is proberbly the best track on it... Seems like I'm a bit outgrown of that rap thing.
Shit is boring...
I want some of that "eat the rich" shit...

favorite N-A-S track of all time... "Come take a ride..." and that beat is some raw-as-hell old-school production... but that's the shit he totally rips in my opinion.
and word adru... although I disagree on the production point, I agree that there have been a whole slew of classics after illmatic - which was undoubtedly a major landmark in hip hop. i thought the Lost Tapes uncovered some really sick shit, among others.
