Hey big Johnson
How the eff do I get to do beats 9-5
? At work!?

The sample is cool and smooth.... I'm wigging out over how jagged your drums are. They don't compliment the track at all

Not sure if you are quantizing or still developing your flow.
Its unique but definitely could use some smoothing out or more practice.

Just being honest and personal preference here. No disrespect.

No offense taken, thanks for the feedback.

Yes, you can say I'm still developing my skill. I use the pattern sequencer on the 303. I didn't use quantize. I guess I just need to keep playing drums on the 303 everyday.

To my ears the lower of the 2 guitars is a bit loud... I’m listening on a little Bose Bluetooth speaker though, full disclosure. I really like the placement of the vocal chop. Think there is enough variety to keep it interesting. All the pieces r intact bro. The drums don’t bother me. Just got a little off-beat SP swag to em... but I’m also down w the choppier flow as far as both sample and drums. To me this isn’t overly choppy because the instrumental chops r so smooth. I think a section where u drop the high-end sounds, either high perc or melody or both, would give it just a little more variety. Maybe a section where u drop a reversed drum loop for 1 or 2 bars. Nice beat though. Especially if it was quick. U could add some simple scratches to finish it up nice. Actually sounds a little like a 9th wonder beat, which I know is weird from a tools & technique perspective. Maybe it’s the crack of the snare... or the overall sample selection/sound, or a combo.
