is it possible to change the banks through midi?

Post by flux »

Im trying to get the 555 to change banks when I change the bank on the korg esx.

I have the esx setup correctly, if I hook it up to the emx I can get it to change banks, everything is on the same midi channel I have triple checked that.

I also know the 555 is recieving the startup message and the clock so everything is in synch, no problems there.

Just the bank problem really, I really hope this is possible since its a nice way to keep everything for a track together when changing tracks.

So im just wondering if there are any settings i have missed on the 555 that i cant find in the manual.

yes and no.

There is no midi function to change banks but all the pads are assigned a specific midi note. So you can effectively change banks by going up an octave or so.
