the so-called gold edition was a bootleg made by (a fan?) which, from what I remember, appeared to be trying to advertise his bandcamp more than anything else and I think everyone universally saw it as exploiting SH's tape.
I can't remember if he claimed to "remaster" the tracks or not, or if he claimed to have split the tracks losslessly w/o re-encoding or not.
giving him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't heavily transcode or something while splitting, it would still transcode downloading an mp3 release from bandcamp (or wastefully upscale if you downloaded .FLAC)

I enjoy single-track mixes (a la cassette rips) but I can split Special Olympics without transcoding if anyone still wants it. Thanks to GOODMAMA's link I can offer both -V0 VBR and 320 CBR.
I can also give a crack at removing the moderate offset present in a couple of tracks, at least I'm pretty sure I have software that can remove offset without transcoding... we'll see

either way I don't have time until thursday so lemme know if this is still wanted

also if anyone would like any other classic single-track SPF tapes split without transcoding I'd be willing to do them for you

it's a bit funny talking about preserving quality on stupidly lo-fi stuff but you gotta preserve the horrible low-samplerate aliasing the way the artist intended it, U KNO
