Yea i just used the on board mic on the 404sx to sample each chime... my friend had these massive windchimes a couple of them sounded like church bells damn near. I resampled and layered a bunch of different hits/effects on the first beat ... it was either distortion or fuzz effect.. whichever one mfx 8 is that made the ringing sounds of the held chime note sound so ominous... i think sampling a group of objects that are in tune with eachother is always kind of a secret hack to get cool sounding chops..

Oh, nice, thanks for the insight! When I heard the beats I really thought about the tune thing, these chimes usually sound musical 'cause of this and I think that maybe it will sound good on a tape loop or something. I will find some of these and see if I can't put out something.
