I don't know, but the SP-404 was made to use cards up to 1GB. I'd try a card that size or smaller.

you need to format your SDcard to 1gb if it larger or greater than 1gb...
example: I have an 8gb card formatted with a fat32 partition @ 1gb ..you are limited to 1gb on 404og

(512mb on sp 606)
(Not sure about 555)

Compact flash adapter needs to be type 1 NOT type 2 (II)

don't forget to 'cancel + resample' to make card recognized in 404og

thanx guys! sd cards seem to age better then CFs. I also do wonder if its possible to export samples onto the SD and load them into the MPC Live? Either with a 404SX or OG via sd/cf adapter.

Sth similar was possible with the mpc 1k /OG404 combo but with 64MB CF cards only. I was loving that feature...

is there a CAP on the 404SX for SD cards? I'm thinking 16-32GB for my new SX is overkill. LOL
