I lost my Akai S20 power supply

Post by Headphones »

I'm tearing apart my room, but I honestly have no clue where it's hiding. My original power supply barely worked anyway. (Any sudden movement and I'd lose juice, and have to re-boot/start from scratch).

So if I go to eBay and look up Akai S20, Japan sells a new one for $219(w/power supply) Ha! I've picked this one for $50, and to me, I'd only spend that much on a MPC! So I did some reasearch and I've been told that the power supply of a Sega GameGear. I typed in Sega GameGear power supply and they have one for $17. I have no other choice I guess. Can't order until Thursday, but I'll report back if it works. If my Akai S20 fries into smoke, well, I'll miss the thing.

If anyone has this problem I'll try to see if this might help you.

If you already know this is legit, please share your experience. Peace.

Lol, found it in of all places, a laundry bag! The power supply that was MIA. However, it's still the fidgety thing that can shut off if I'm not careful. And a spare might come in handy. So I'm still going to order one!
