New way to do mute groups without the delete

Post by Lou »

Alright, this new way to do mute groups does away with the delete button, so you don't have to worry about your samples getting offed, but you do have to sacrifice one pad for a short while for the trick.
First you have your sample all chopped up, and then on one pad, record a few seconds of silence. Make sure the chopped sample and the silence are both in stereo.
Now you hit the resample button, and in resampling, you can only record two stereo pads at one time, so you just gotta hit ya chop and then just before you hit the next slice, hit the silent pad so that when you hit the next chop, it prioritizes the silent sample you just pressed, and it cuts out the chop you had before. Now just repeat that for your entire pattern.
The best part is, this lets you have the sample all chopped up without having to record to an external device, shit is super quick yo.
