404 car adapter for power supply ?

Wassup friends?

I'm looking for a power supply car adapter... I want to use that 12V thing in my car. What do I have to keep in mind? I mean I need a 9V + 2.0A .-adapter, right?

Anybody knows where to get one that goes fine with the 404? Would be awesome!!!

Your best bet is to buy a power inverter for your car.

Can I use my turntables also for with that?
I was pretty close to buy a generator (running by gas).... but nowadays...

But how many watt does the 404 have or need ???

If you don't know the power rating of a piece of gear, but do know its volts and current, you get the power by multiplying them together.

Power (w) = Volts (V) x Amps (A).

So, 9V @ 2A is 18Watts.

Give it another 10% or so to be safe + the AC adapter uses some power for itself, and you're looking at between 20 to 25watts from the inverter to run the 404.

A Table that works directly off AC power might have the power rating on the label at the back, it probably won't be much. It might not say it in Watts, but "VA" instead, like "220V 5VA". You can treat the VA rating as if it were Watts and add 10% again for safety.

if you have an inverter you could potentially turn your car into a mobile soundsystem... seen it done with a rock band and a van but would be easier (and potentionally sound better) for djs and sample musicians
