external audio effect problems

i tried to use my sp as an external audio effect in ableton like in +ma tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMbpriLkr-s), connected everything through audio interface and it didnt worked. after trying to fix it i figured out that it does makes sound but its really quiet (when i play the track and turn on djfx looper and nothing happens then pause the track and i can hear the looped sound playing but its much quieter then the track sound) What can be a problem? is it an sp or interface? Somebody please help me out.
