What outputs are you using? It could be that or the cord you are using.

if you are using the 1/4 inch jack try the RCA outputs.

also try opening some of your samples on your computer - if they're distorted the problem is very internal, if they're clear it's somewhere in the outputs / DAC. If it's the outputs, you could try some corrosion remover and q-tip, or something
