Original sp 404 help

Hey everyone, I bought an sp 404 a week ago, I've been using the thing non stop and its been working perfectly with a lexar 512 MB compact flash card, but all of sudden I put in the flash card one time but I couldn't select banks C-J, when I pressed the C-J buttons they would not light I could only go through banks A and B. Pressing cancel and resample also did nothing, the buttons would not light when I pressed them together, I have no clue what to do here it's like the 404 doesn't recognize the memory card is in the machine or something, help is appreciated thanks!

Are you able to format the card with your 404?

unfortunately not when I press cancel and remain nothing happens, its like it doesn't recognize that the card is inside the machine

try format in another device (a computer for example) and then try to format on the sp404 again..strange thing actually..

Be sure your card is inserted correctly. Those little contacts can get bent if it isn't inserted correctly.
