Trouble importing / cant un mark

Sup Sp heads!?

I bought an Sp 404 the other day and i haven't slept much since haha,
she's mad fun.

Ive had a million questions but have been able to find answers for most in the manual or in this forum. so thanks..

There's a couple of issues i haven't been able to resolve which is making me think i may have possibly purchased a faulty unit?

1. Importing files.

When I hold down cancel and press re sample nothing happens.
Ive copied a 16 bit Wav file to the root of the Compact Flash..

2. Doesnt un mark

Everything ive read says press mark again to un mark but once ive pressed mark it doesnt un mark. If i press it again and it stays lit..

Any advice would be much appreciated

I got the importing working now!
I think i didn't have the card pushed all the way in on some noob shit, haha.

my problem now is that some of the files i uploaded overrode
samples that i had spent hours processing by re sampling even though
there where plenty of other empty pads available.

Does anybody know how to prevent this??

Please help, haha
